Ryder Street Gallery Exhibition - December
2004
The Exhibition:
Over 300 people gathered to view the latest collection by one of
Britain’s most exciting young contemporary painters, Sacha
Jafri. The walls of the Ryder Street gallery were all consumed by
Jafri’s colourful, soulful and lyrical canvases which saw
VIPs, art critics and journalists swarming in their hoards to view
the pieces, chat with the artist and drink Laurent Perrier magnums
of champagne who were sponsors of the evening.
The BBC were present filming the exhibition and interviewing guests
as part of the feature they produced about Sacha Jafri. ““Sacha
Jafri has brought back the skill of painting to contemporary British
Art. Having truly entered the circle of the art world elite over
the past year, Sacha’s new collection has been eagerly anticipated
by collectors, critics and admirers alike”.
The exhibition coincided with the launch of Sacha’s new Limited
Edition Book entitled ‘Kubrick’s Factory Floor’
which features images of his new collection, Sacha on his work and
art critic analysis.
The exhibition will continue until 31st December 2004
